Frankie Dettori

My first book, a biography of legendary jockey Frankie Dettori, was published shortly after he won his first Epsom Derby on Authorized in 2007.

Unusually, this book was written and published before I had formally trained as a journalist, but it received a number of positive reviews in the press and currently has 4/5 stars on Goodreads.

Brian O’Driscoll

In 2008, the first edition of my biography on former Ireland and Lions rugby union captain Brian O’Driscoll was published, originally titled ‘In BOD We Trust’.

The book was updated in 2009, 2011 and 2013, by which time it had been renamed ‘Legend – The Biography of Brian O’Driscoll’, and was by this stage 488 pages long.

It topped the rugby union chart on Amazon on three separate occasions, and currently has a rating of 4.17/5 on Goodreads.

Kevin Pietersen

Controversial, outspoken and fiery – Kevin Pietersen is the most talked-about, charismatic and divisive cricketer of the modern era.

Originally published in 2009, it was revised and updated in 2013 following an eventful few years in his career, and led to me making a number of media appearances, in which I broadly defended his actions.

I attempted to give a balanced account of Pietersen’s achievements and flaws in the book, which is almost as controversial as the man himself, and currently has a rating of 3.43/5 on Goodreads.
